Rohan Mustafa re entry in uae against Nepal

 The United Arab Emirates (UAE) have announced their 15-man squad for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against Nepal. CP Rizwan, who was named captain of the T20 International (T20I) earlier this year ahead of the Asian Cup qualifiers, has been replaced by Ahmed Raza as captain of ODI. 

 all-rounder Rohan his Mustafa is back in the squad, surprisingly he was left out of his T20 World Cup squad. Since  his 201

 debut, Mustafa has scored 1,107 runs and taken 56 wickets in his 50 overs in his UAE format. He was part of the squad when the UAE last  played  ODI  in August. The 

  three-match series will take place from 1

-18 November at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kathmandu. Under 

  Rizwan,  the United Arab Emirates qualified for the 2022 T20 World Cup, losing to the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, followed by a hard-fought victory over Namibia, which saw the Eagles eliminated from the tournament. 

 This series is considered preparation for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, one of the 50-over World Cup qualifier routes. 

 “This ODI series against Nepal is another opportunity for Emirates Cricket in anticipation of the next ICC Cricket World Cup League Two match cycle. We are excited to bring young and energetic new talent to our men's team. , and wish them every success in Nepal.” said Taeb Kamari, Chairman of the  Selection Committee of Emirates Cricket. 

 “I would also like to thank the Cricket Association of Nepal for hosting and presenting this ODI series as we gear up for a busy 2023 international calendar. It is a great support for both sides as we prepare for the international calendar.” 

 UAE currently have 27 points from 26 matches in the tournament. It is currently his fourth, behind the United States (29th), Scotland (

0th) and Oman (

th). The top three teams will advance directly to the qualifiers. He is his second highest run scorer in the UAE after Shaiman Anwar. With the ball, he is one of the UAE's leading wicket takers behind Ahmed Raza and Zahor Khan. 

 UAE have added many new faces to his ODI against Nepal including Ashwanth Valthapa, Vishnu Sukumaran, Adithya Shetty and Hazrat Bilal in the recent U19 World Cup where he took 8 wickets at a saving rate of

 United Arab Emirates cricket director Robin Singh sees this as a good opportunity to test  the youngsters in the team. 

 "This ODI series of his gives this combination of youth and experience  a solid opportunity to test their skills, perform in a variety of conditions and environments, and assess their capabilities as a development team. We will provide it,” said Robin. 

 “We are building a team for the future and as we are focused on the qualification path for the Cricket World Cup (2023), we are committed not only to team cohesion but to the future of Emirates Cricket. Our intention to build a team remains unchanged.”

 UAE won the final three ODIs (two against Scotland and one against the United States) in Aberdeen  this August. lost.
