 IPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore trade Jason Behlendorf to Mumbai Indians 

 The fast left-handed bowler also played for Mumbai from 2018 to 2020 but only played five games

Australian left-handed fast bowler Jason Behlendorf is set to return to the Mumbai Indians after Royal Challengers Bangalore trade him ahead of the IPL 2023. He was acquired by Royal His Challengers at his 2022 auction for his base price of Rs 7.5 lakh but was not given time for the game. 

 Behrendorff has been in the IPL for the past five years, four of which he has spent on the bench. He was in Mumbai from his 2018 to his 2020 but he only got the chance to play in the 2019 season. That year he took 5 wickets in the same number of games and his saving rate was 8.68. 

 In 2021, he was drafted by the Chennai Super Kings to replace Josh Hazelwood. He did not appear in the first half of the tournament and Hazelwood returned when competition resumed in the United Arab Emirates. 

 Behrendorff he represented Australia in his T20I in nine, taking seven wickets in a 21-for-

. Overall, he has 117 wickets in his 105 T20s and economy is his 7.

1.  Jasprit Bumrah, Jofra Archer, Riley Meredith and Daniel Sams are some of the other fast bowlers Mumbai currently have on their roster. Mumbai, the most successful team in IPL history, finished 10th in his 10-team tournament in 2022. 

 The 2023 season auction will take place in Kochi on December 23rd. In contrast to the mega auctions prior to the 2022 edition where the 10 franchises had to build their rosters practically from scratch, this will be a mini auction. Each team has an additional $5 billion (approximately $11.5 million) in addition to the value of the players they sacked.
