Legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev has called his current India team is chokers' -Bat Vs Ball Game

Legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev has called his current India team 'the chokers' after being knocked out of the T20 World Cup after falling 10 wickets behind England in the second semi-final in Adelaide.

Thursday's blowout saw India suffer her fifth knockout defeat in the last six World Cups. “They are the same players who have given us a lot of respect in the past, so I won’t go into details, but you can call them chokers. After that they suffocate," Kapil told ABP News.

However, the 1983 world champion Skipper said fans shouldn't be too critical of his team's performance in the semi-finals. “I agree that India played poorly in cricket, but one match cannot be overly criticized. Yes, they did not play well. Criticism is justified. But today. As for the match, I can only say  that England read the pitch better and played cricket better.

Kapil said the youngsters need to come forward  and lead the team to the top. "I think the team needs to look forward. It's time for the younger players to step up and take charge." India last won his ICC tournament in 2013, when  England won his trophy by defeating the Champions.

They have since qualified for  the 201

T20 World Cup (final), 2015 ODI World Cup (semi-final), 2016 T20 World Cup (semi-final), 2017 Champions Trophy (final), 2019 ODI World Cup (semi-final), 2021 Test World Cup final, 2022 T20 World Cup (semi-final), but lost all.

England hit their target of 169 in just 16 overs, completely dominating India. Opener Alex Hales and captain Jos Butler have been unbeaten for half a century.
